We can design and price a system to meet both your budget but more importantly your solar generation/export and home consumption..
The design will involve a site survey and getting you to provide meter readings to show how your pattern of usage varies or install a simple and inexpensive monitoring advice.
We will then match the battery solution to your new PV system or existing PV and demonstrate the likely savings.
Smaller systems will suit low electricity users (2,000-3,000kwh/yr) and fall in the range of 3-5kwh of useful daily storage.
Higher use households (4,000-10,000kwh/yr) especially homes heated with Heat pumps will benefit more from larger systems between 5-16kwh.
We can also design systems for small commercial or farm use such as dairy farmers where high daily electrical loads reduce ever declining profit margins.

We can provide both DC and AC connected systems. With battery systems connected on the AC side of the solar generation meter, your FIT meter readings will not be affected or reduced by using battery storage. If we had suggested a DC connected battery (before the PV inverter), then any conversion losses in the battery system would reduce your FIT meter reading and resultant FIT payments.
There are system losses when using AC/DC/AC systems but as this is with energy that would have been sent to the Grid then the importance of conversion losses is not as critical. It is still worth choosing an efficient system so that on days when there is minimal solar surplus energy the battery system will take in and release as much useful energy as possible.
